Position overview:

As the Principal Backend Engineer at P2P.org, you will lead the design and implementation of our backend systems and APIs for automated staking on blockchain networks, data access and other services. Your role is crucial in shaping the architecture, optimizing performance, and ensuring the reliability and security of our staking platform. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you'll champion best practices in software development, such as code reviews, testing, monitoring, and logging. Your expertise in blockchain technologies and Web3 will be instrumental in delivering high-quality solutions to our clients, including large intermediaries and banks.

• System Architecture and Design: Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and performant backend systems and APIs for mission-critical blockchain applications.
• Best Practices and Code Quality: Proficiency in implementing and promoting best practices in software development, such as code reviews, testing, monitoring, and logging, to ensure high-quality and maintainable codebase.
• Performance Optimization: Strong background in optimizing backend systems for high performance, scalability, and reliability, with a focus on diagnosing and resolving issues related to system crashes and poor performance.
• Observability and Monitoring: In-depth knowledge of observability principles and practices, with a track record of implementing effective monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to enable quick problem localization and resolution.
• Knowledge Sharing and Mentorship: Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team and promoting technical excellence across the

• Proven experience in designing and developing backend systems and APIs, with a deep understanding of architecture patterns, performance optimization, and reliability best practices.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Go programming languages, with hands-on experience in building scalable and maintainable backend applications.
• Expertise in databases, both relational and document-oriented, as well as caching mechanisms and cache invalidation strategies.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, with a focus on designing and implementing resilient and fault-tolerant architectures.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and the ability to build decoupled and environment-agnostic applications.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues in a timely manner.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Proficient English language skills (C1 level or above).
